Commencement
The Lees-McRae community gathered on Tate Lawn to celebrate the class of 2025.
Graduation is always an exciting time of year and 2025 was no exception. Graduates and their families all gathered outdoors on Tate Lawn. Pictured above is a group of graduates sharing a laugh with their professor before the ceremony got underway.
The class of 2025 was addressed by Dr. Lee King, President of Lees-McRae College. President King presented the Fidelity Award to two recipients which was followed by the first names being called across the stage.
Emotions were on display all throughout the ceremony. The COVID-19 pandemic dominated a large portion of these students lives and ending things in a normal fashion evoked strong reactions from students and family alike. In total, over 250 students completed their degree.
